Bryce had a wonderful trip!!

I talked to him this morning. He had a great time! He wasn't overly thrilled with the whole flying thing, but he said the experience was well worth it. He's already decided he wants to go back next year with the church again! He was really touched by the way the people there live and said it made him appreciate how good we have it here. But he had a good and safe trip and is now back in Shattuck.

Meet Kiera!!

This is my new horse!! We picked her up last night when we got home. She's a yearling and a little on the wild side because she's never been messed with. But she will come around soon. She's already calmed down a lot and we haven't even had her for 24 hours yet. Her name is Kiera (I think anyway! lol).

A Wonderful Vacation!!

We had a really great time!! I took tons of pics, I'll get them uploaded to my family site later today and then share them all with you!!

Thursday: We left here about 7:00 that morning, went through NM and on up to CO. We stopped at a little town called Fort Garland and the girls got to ride horses. Then we went to Alamosa and went to the Colorado Gator Farm. Tons of aligators, snakes, all sorts of creepy stuff that the girls just loved!! Then from there we went on up to Salida and Monarch Pass. Showed the girls the place that we camped at several years ago with my Grandparents. Then went to the top of the Continental Divide. Spent the night in Salida that night, took the girls to the park downtown and watched the guys kayaking (sp???) in the rapids. That was fun! Then went back to the hotel and they went swimming.

Friday: Got up early and headed to the Royal Gorge. Got and walked across the bridge. Then we rode the thing across the RG, then rode to the bottom of it. Went to the petting zoo there, drove through the wildlife park they have. Then drove across the bridge on our way out. After that we went to Buckskin Joe's Frontier Town. The girls loved that, we watched the gun fight, went in all the building and stores, took a horse drawn trolley ride and ate lunch in the saloon there. lol Then we took the train ride from there and it went around the Royal Gorge. After we finished that up, we took the scenic byway drive to Cripple Creek. Then from there took the other scenic byway drive to Colorado Springs. We even got to see a bear running in the wild, I tried to take pic, but he was too quick! loll When we got to CO Springs, we went up the Helen Hunt Falls, that was beautiful!! I love waterfalls! lol Then we got our hotel room. We stayed at the same place we stayed at in March and got the Family Suite. It was a huge room with another bedroom, so Ed and I had our own room with a king size bed and the girls each had a queen size bed of their own!! We stayed there Friday and Saturday night!

Saturday we got up and went to The North Pole, the girls got to ride the rides and we shopped in all the stores. They of course didn't want to go sit on Santa's lap though! :( They are just growing up too fast!! Then we left there and drove to the top of Pikes Peak. It was great going up, a little cloudy, but not too bad. Coming down, the clouds rolled in and it started raining! Needless to say, I was a little nervous and ready to get to the bottom! lollll After that we went to Divide, CO. and took a tour of the Wolf and Wildlife Center. Dakota is just crazy about wolves, so this was really exciting for her! Then back to CO Springs, went to the mall, out for supper and then back to the hotel and the girls went swimming again.

Sunday we slept in, got up and packed our stuff, went out for breakfast and then headed home. We got home, unpacked the pickup and put stuff away, then went and picked up my new horse! We messed with her most of the evening and Jordan and I ran to town to get pizza for supper.

Bryce left for Mexico

Bryce left this morning with my Dad, Tweeter, and the rest of the church members for their misson trip to Mexico. I'm sure it will be a very memorable experience for Bryce. Dad and Tweeter went last year, but this will be his first time to go. He was excited and nervous both! lol He will be gone until Sunday.

Leaving for Colorado

We are leaving for CO. tomorrow morning early!! We're all really excited to go. Gonna go hit all the things we missed back in March. We're gonna go to the CO Gator Farm and to Monarch and the Continental Divide on Thursday. Friday we'll go to The Royal Gorge and Buckskin Joe's Frontier Town. Saturday we'll go to The North Pole and maybe the Rodeo Hall of Fame (if we have time) Saturday night we plan on going to old CO City and taking a horse and buggy ride. (Ed and I did that last August when we went for our anniversary). Then Sunday we're gonna go to the Wolf and Wildlife Reserve. Of course we'll also do some shopping and stuff too. Gonna be a busy 4 days!!

It's official! Ed has lost his mind! lol I guess his Dad buying that '62 vette gave him the fever. Last night we drove to Thomas, OK. and came home with a vette of our own!! It's a 1975 Corvette Stingray. It's beautiful. White with grey interior, t-tops. Excellent condition! Ed is so happy!! I love it too! The one Terry bought has always been my dream car, but this body style has always been Ed's dream car! Looks like we'll be having a lot of fun in it when it's just the two of us, cause the family sure isn't gonna fit! lol I'm sure I'll have fun driving it to town once school starts. Make a cool car to run to Liberal in to get my nails done! hehehe

Tomorrow we have to go to Liberal and do some shopping and run some errands. I think that is it for this week though, gonna try and stay home the rest of the week and get things ready to go to Mom's house this weekend. We're leaving Friday and we'll spend the weekend there and then the girls will stay the whole next week. They are really excited!!!

A little about my family!!

I met Ed on May 18, 1989. We didn't date long, but we just knew that it was meant to be and that we belonged together!! We were married on August 7, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.

We had our first child, Bryce Aron, on August 28, 1990. 3 weeks after our 1st year anniversary!! He was a big healthy boy. He weighed in at 12 lbs. 5 3/4 oz. and he was 22 1/4" long. He was quite the little heavy weight and everyone said he would be a linebacker! loll Funny how things change......now he's over 6' tall and skinny! lol All arms, legs and feet!! He could care less about sports, although he does manage the football team in Shattuck and help out with basketball concessions and fundraisers. He loves to weld and work on the farm. He's going to be a Senior next year, hard to believe!!

We had our second and third children on January 24, 1997. After a tubal pregancy in January of '95 and being told we would not be able to have anymore children, we shocked them all by having a set of twin girls! Beautiful healthy little girls. They were taken via c-section on the 24th of January. Dakota Jo came along first, weighing in at 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19" long. Jordan LeeAnn was next (1 min. later) and she weighed in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19 1/2" long! They were identical, although Dakota was born bald headed and Jordan had a head full of hair!! lol Again......funny how things change, Dakota started out smaller and bald and now she is bigger and has a lot thicker hair than Jordan does! lol They are going to be in the 5th grade next year. They are very active in all sports, total opposite of their brother! They love softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, they love to run track, and they are wanting to learn to play tennis. They have been involved in girl scouts, awanas, craft groups, and they are in a cheerleading class and they are cheerleaders at their school.

Ed works for Simon's Petroleum. He is the warehouse manager/driver/salesman for the Guymon location. He covers the entire OK panhandle/TX panhandle/Some of KS/Some of CO - almost to the NE state line. He has also started a pipe hauling business which has been a wonderful thing, he has done extremely well with it!! We named the business G.A.P.S. and it has really taken off over the last two years. At times he can't keep up with everything he needs to do. Even has to take vacation days from Simon's to haul pipe once in a while! lol

I'm a sahm. I spend most of my time running the girls all over the place for this and that. I help out with school parties and anything else they need me for. When I do have some free time I like to do crafts, cross stitch, read, cook, work in my yard, go shopping and out for lunch with my best friend, work with the horses, ride 4-wheelers and spend time with my family and friends!
