A new family addition!!
We are going to be expanding our family!! No - not another baby! lol But a new puppy!!! After months and months and months of begging and pleading, we have decided to let the girls have a Yorkie!! I think I need my head examined, but I am actually excited about her too! We will be going to Stillwater next Sunday (28th) to pick her up. I'll post some pics when we get her home. The girls have decided to name her Haley!! And they even agreed that I can put bows in her hair and I already bought her a pink collar and leash!!

Fall Break
The girls are on Fall Break and they got to go to Shattuck to stay with my Dad. They were really excited!! I took them down there yesterday, stopped in Laverne to visit with Grandma Margie for a while, then on to Shattuck to see Grandma Jordan and got to see Bryce right after he got out of school. The girls will get to stay until Sunday!! Bryce will be leaving tomorrow for a hiking trip with his youth group and he has a football game tonight, so the girls will get to spend a little time with him!! Ed and I are gonna enjoy our kid free weekend, gonna go to the show and maybe to Amarillo shopping on Saturday!! :o)

A nice family weekend!
We had a really nice weekend!!! Bryce came out after the football game that was in Yarbrough on Friday night. He spent the entire weekend!! Him and Ed built a headache rack and some side rails for Bryce's pickup. They had a really good time together!! They also rode 4-wheelers and went for a ride in the vette! Ed grilled out for us on Sunday afternoon and then we all 5 rode 4-wheelers and the gokart! It was a wonderful weekend!! We're looking forward to Bryce coming back out soon!!
The weekend didn't end on such a good note though. After Bryce left, Ed decided to go 4-wheeling some more and wrecked his 4-wheeler! Tried to climp a big hill, hit some sand and the 4-wheeler tipped up and Ed fell off the back, hitting his head.......looked up just in time to see the 4-wheeler coming right towards him. He managed to roll to the side just as the 4-wheeler hit upside down! Ed's okay (Thank God!) but the 4-wheeler has seen better days! It bent the back of it (which Ed can fix) but it also bent the handle bars and the whole electronic assembly where the speed odometer and fuel gauge an stuff is. That will have to be taken back to the dealership and fixed/replaced. I'm just glad he's okay!!! But hopefully it will teach him not to try and climb those big hills.......but I doubt it! lol

Been busy around here!
Last night was the girls' open house at school. It was a chili and stew supper with the parents providing the desserts and condiments. It was a lot of fun. We got to visit with friends and have supper, then go see the girls' classrooms and all the things they have been working on. Then the kids all got up on stage and introduced their parents. Afterwards they had a book fair and of course the girls just HAD to have some new books.
Today I am gonna pick them up early from school, they have eye appointments in Liberal. They are going to try their hand at contacts. They are both so excited and I am too. If they are able to wear them and take care of it, it will be so nice to not worry about their glasses getting knocked off during basketball or volleyball or whatever sport they are playing at the time and getting stepped on and broke!
They are still busy with cheer, getting ready for Cheerfest in Liberal in October. They just got their new uniforms all ordered, so they should be here soon.
Bryce is busy with football and school. He's selling FFA sausage right now and trying to work on his pickup and get it all done up like he wants it. Gonna have to be thinking about Senior pictures soon, he called and asked me if I thought our neighbor Lori (who has always done all our pictures) would do them, so we're gonna try for that!
Ed's still staying busy with work and in all his spare time he plays with his new toy. He totally loves that Vette! lol Even though he's having to work on it here and there, it sat for so long, that now with being drove all the time, little things are happening. But he's getting them fixed one by one!
That's about it for updates here. I'll try and do better about updating more often!!

A nice birthday
I had a really nice birthday. Ed and the girls took me to Amarillo. I got a new dresser and mirror and a new bed for our bedroom. And all the paint, paper, ect...to re-do all the walls. Even got a new light to put up, now I just have to get busy and get it all done! loll
We also went to the mall, did some shopping there, got a couple things for me and the girls each got two new webkinz. I also got some stuff at bath and body works!
We went to eat at Chilis. Wanted to go to Outback, but they didn't open until 3:00. So we opted for Chilis. It was really good!!
That evening Becky, Colby and their girls came over and we roasted hot dogs over the fire pit, had some cake (that Ed had made for me) and ice cream and we all drank margaritas! It was a fun day!!
Got lots of cards, calls, and nice gifts for my birthday. I guess turning 38 wasn't so bad afterall! lol

I'm getting old!!
Well, guess I'll be 38 tomorrow! Doesn't seem possible, I don't feel that old! lol I remember thinking that my Mom was old when she was this age.......now I'm there! lol
Ed and the girls are taking me to Amarillo tomorrow, gonna go shopping and try to find some new bedroom furniture. Then tomorrow night Colby and Becky are coming over for a cookout and margaritas!!
Things have been pretty good around here, the girls are staying busy in school. Cheer class it getting busy, getting ready for Cheerfest in Liberal in October. I have my 20th year class reunion coming up in a couple weeks. Haven't heard any news on what they have planned if anything though. Not sure if we'll go or not.
We did have one bad thing happen to our family recently. We lost Ed's Grandma Flo. We lost her on Saturday, August 25th. We know she's in a better place and she's very happy to be back with Grandpa, but we miss her very much. We traveled to Kansas City, MO on the 26th, had her funeral on the 27th and back home on the 28th. The girls chose not to go, as they didn't want to have to see her like that and that be there last memory of her. So, my Grandma Jordan came out and stayed with them while we were gone. Bryce did go with us, he also served as a pall bearer. He's really growing up into a wonderful young man and I'm so proud of him. We really enjoyed spending some time just us and him on the trip to KS City. He celebrated his 17th birthday on the 28th, I actually got to wake him up and give him 17 swats that morning! lol He's staying busy with football (he's manager again this year) and with working two jobs as well as helping my Dad out at his ranch and helping Tweeter out with her remodling projects.
That about catches everyone up on what's been going on with us. I'll try and do better about getting in more often to keep everyone updated!

Freedom! lol
Well, the girls are officially back in school today! It's so nice and quiet around here!! lol I know I'll enjoy today and maybe even tomorrow, but then I'll start getting bored and missing them! lol They conned Ed into taking them to school in the vette this morning. It was quite comical seeing them all packed into the corvette, Ed, two girls and tons of school supplies! lol I wish I had taken a pic! They were excited to go though, ready to see all their friends again!! I'm looking forward to 3:30 today so I can hear all about their first day!!

Two More Days!!
I can't believe that it's already time for school to start! The girls are somewhat excited. They are looking forward to seeing all their friends again and all that, but not looking forward to all the school work. lol They won't have too tough of a week I'm sure. They will go Wednesday and Thursday and then on Friday the school will be taking them to the county fair in Guymon! So it will be a fun way to start back to school for them! I'm looking forward to my "me" time again. I'm sure I'll enjoy for a couple days, then I'll be missing them like crazy again though!! lol

Bryce had a wonderful trip!!
I talked to him this morning. He had a great time! He wasn't overly thrilled with the whole flying thing, but he said the experience was well worth it. He's already decided he wants to go back next year with the church again! He was really touched by the way the people there live and said it made him appreciate how good we have it here. But he had a good and safe trip and is now back in Shattuck.
Meet Kiera!!
This is my new horse!! We picked her up last night when we got home. She's a yearling and a little on the wild side because she's never been messed with. But she will come around soon. She's already calmed down a lot and we haven't even had her for 24 hours yet. Her name is Kiera (I think anyway! lol).
A Wonderful Vacation!!
We had a really great time!! I took tons of pics, I'll get them uploaded to my family site later today and then share them all with you!!
Thursday: We left here about 7:00 that morning, went through NM and on up to CO. We stopped at a little town called Fort Garland and the girls got to ride horses. Then we went to Alamosa and went to the Colorado Gator Farm. Tons of aligators, snakes, all sorts of creepy stuff that the girls just loved!! Then from there we went on up to Salida and Monarch Pass. Showed the girls the place that we camped at several years ago with my Grandparents. Then went to the top of the Continental Divide. Spent the night in Salida that night, took the girls to the park downtown and watched the guys kayaking (sp???) in the rapids. That was fun! Then went back to the hotel and they went swimming.
Friday: Got up early and headed to the Royal Gorge. Got and walked across the bridge. Then we rode the thing across the RG, then rode to the bottom of it. Went to the petting zoo there, drove through the wildlife park they have. Then drove across the bridge on our way out. After that we went to Buckskin Joe's Frontier Town. The girls loved that, we watched the gun fight, went in all the building and stores, took a horse drawn trolley ride and ate lunch in the saloon there. lol Then we took the train ride from there and it went around the Royal Gorge. After we finished that up, we took the scenic byway drive to Cripple Creek. Then from there took the other scenic byway drive to Colorado Springs. We even got to see a bear running in the wild, I tried to take pic, but he was too quick! loll When we got to CO Springs, we went up the Helen Hunt Falls, that was beautiful!! I love waterfalls! lol Then we got our hotel room. We stayed at the same place we stayed at in March and got the Family Suite. It was a huge room with another bedroom, so Ed and I had our own room with a king size bed and the girls each had a queen size bed of their own!! We stayed there Friday and Saturday night!
Saturday we got up and went to The North Pole, the girls got to ride the rides and we shopped in all the stores. They of course didn't want to go sit on Santa's lap though! :( They are just growing up too fast!! Then we left there and drove to the top of Pikes Peak. It was great going up, a little cloudy, but not too bad. Coming down, the clouds rolled in and it started raining! Needless to say, I was a little nervous and ready to get to the bottom! lollll After that we went to Divide, CO. and took a tour of the Wolf and Wildlife Center. Dakota is just crazy about wolves, so this was really exciting for her! Then back to CO Springs, went to the mall, out for supper and then back to the hotel and the girls went swimming again.
Sunday we slept in, got up and packed our stuff, went out for breakfast and then headed home. We got home, unpacked the pickup and put stuff away, then went and picked up my new horse! We messed with her most of the evening and Jordan and I ran to town to get pizza for supper.

Bryce left for Mexico
Bryce left this morning with my Dad, Tweeter, and the rest of the church members for their misson trip to Mexico. I'm sure it will be a very memorable experience for Bryce. Dad and Tweeter went last year, but this will be his first time to go. He was excited and nervous both! lol He will be gone until Sunday.
Leaving for Colorado
We are leaving for CO. tomorrow morning early!! We're all really excited to go. Gonna go hit all the things we missed back in March. We're gonna go to the CO Gator Farm and to Monarch and the Continental Divide on Thursday. Friday we'll go to The Royal Gorge and Buckskin Joe's Frontier Town. Saturday we'll go to The North Pole and maybe the Rodeo Hall of Fame (if we have time) Saturday night we plan on going to old CO City and taking a horse and buggy ride. (Ed and I did that last August when we went for our anniversary). Then Sunday we're gonna go to the Wolf and Wildlife Reserve. Of course we'll also do some shopping and stuff too. Gonna be a busy 4 days!!

It's official! Ed has lost his mind! lol I guess his Dad buying that '62 vette gave him the fever. Last night we drove to Thomas, OK. and came home with a vette of our own!! It's a 1975 Corvette Stingray. It's beautiful. White with grey interior, t-tops. Excellent condition! Ed is so happy!! I love it too! The one Terry bought has always been my dream car, but this body style has always been Ed's dream car! Looks like we'll be having a lot of fun in it when it's just the two of us, cause the family sure isn't gonna fit! lol I'm sure I'll have fun driving it to town once school starts. Make a cool car to run to Liberal in to get my nails done! hehehe
Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Good morning!! It's gonna be another hot and windy day here. Not that you can expect much else from the Oklahoma panhandle! lol I'm not doing much of anything today, just really missing the girls. A little about my family!!
I met Ed on May 18, 1989. We didn't date long, but we just knew that it was meant to be and that we belonged together!! We were married on August 7, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV.
We had our first child, Bryce Aron, on August 28, 1990. 3 weeks after our 1st year anniversary!! He was a big healthy boy. He weighed in at 12 lbs. 5 3/4 oz. and he was 22 1/4" long. He was quite the little heavy weight and everyone said he would be a linebacker! loll Funny how things change......now he's over 6' tall and skinny! lol All arms, legs and feet!! He could care less about sports, although he does manage the football team in Shattuck and help out with basketball concessions and fundraisers. He loves to weld and work on the farm. He's going to be a Senior next year, hard to believe!!
We had our second and third children on January 24, 1997. After a tubal pregancy in January of '95 and being told we would not be able to have anymore children, we shocked them all by having a set of twin girls! Beautiful healthy little girls. They were taken via c-section on the 24th of January. Dakota Jo came along first, weighing in at 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19" long. Jordan LeeAnn was next (1 min. later) and she weighed in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19 1/2" long! They were identical, although Dakota was born bald headed and Jordan had a head full of hair!! lol Again......funny how things change, Dakota started out smaller and bald and now she is bigger and has a lot thicker hair than Jordan does! lol They are going to be in the 5th grade next year. They are very active in all sports, total opposite of their brother! They love softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, they love to run track, and they are wanting to learn to play tennis. They have been involved in girl scouts, awanas, craft groups, and they are in a cheerleading class and they are cheerleaders at their school.
Ed works for Simon's Petroleum. He is the warehouse manager/driver/salesman for the Guymon location. He covers the entire OK panhandle/TX panhandle/Some of KS/Some of CO - almost to the NE state line. He has also started a pipe hauling business which has been a wonderful thing, he has done extremely well with it!! We named the business G.A.P.S. and it has really taken off over the last two years. At times he can't keep up with everything he needs to do. Even has to take vacation days from Simon's to haul pipe once in a while! lol
I'm a sahm. I spend most of my time running the girls all over the place for this and that. I help out with school parties and anything else they need me for. When I do have some free time I like to do crafts, cross stitch, read, cook, work in my yard, go shopping and out for lunch with my best friend, work with the horses, ride 4-wheelers and spend time with my family and friends!
