Last Saturday was the Flatlanders car show in Guymon. Ed and I took the vette in for it. We had a really good time. Seen lots of cool cars and got to visit with some really nice people. Also got invited to attend some more car shows!! It was a super hot and windy day though, it was 103 degrees and the wind was blowing 40mph all day. But all in all we had a good time!!

Ed's New Job!!
Ed officially started his new job on Monday the 9th. He loves it!!! He is so much happier and more relaxed!! He is a truck supervisor for Nabors Well Service. He has a company pickup that he drives back and forth to work and right now he has 6 trucks and 4 drivers (he has to hire 2 more) working for him. He is thrilled not to have to be bouncing around in a truck anymore and driving hundreds of miles a day. Now he gets to sit in his office, or ride around in his company pickup giving out orders and telling his drivers what to do. Of course the huge pay raise was a nice bonus too! :o)
Softball Season!
Softball season is underway!! The girls' team is doing pretty good. They've only played 4 games. Won 2 and lost 2. The only have two more games to go and then the tournament. Really a short season this year! They are having fun though! Both are doing great with hitting. They have both made several triples this year. Dakota made an awesome double out on her first game!

A new addition to the Vette!!
Track Meet!!
The girls did great at their track meet this year. Dakota took home a 1st place ribbon in the 75; a 2nd place ribbon in the 100; a 4th place ribbon in the softball throw and a 3rd place ribbon with her relay team.
Jordan took home a 1st place ribbon in the 50; a 1st place ribbon in the 75; a 2nd place ribbon in the softball throw and a 3rd place ribbon with the relay team.
The softball throw was really amazing I thought, in the races they give out 1st - 6th place ribbons in each heat. But in the softball throw they only give out 6 ribbons total, and there were about 25 girls competing from Hooker, Straight and Optima schools. So the girls getting a 2nd and a 4th was excellent!!!! And the girl that beat Jordan in the softball throw to take 1st place, only beat her by 1cm. So it was very close!!!
New pic of Haley!!
A tribute to my Papa!!!
My entire extended family is donating a stage to the park in Laverne. This is in memory of my Papa. This past weekend Ed and I went down and Ed did all the welding on it. It's now ready to be painted and for the tin to be put on the top and back. We'll be dedicating it to my Papa on July 4th at the bbq where my cousins Brandon and Brody will be singing! I can't wait!!!
