Father's Day Weekend

No, Jordan is not taller than Dakota - Dakota is just squatted down in the water a little more.

We spent Saturday over at Beaver at Terry's house. Brenda and Cary came out and we all had a nice day together. Girls got to go swimming in Grandpa's pool and of course they hung out in the bunk house and played air hockey and pool too! Terry cooked out some ribs for everyone and we all enjoyed the day.
Sunday we hung out at home, just Ed and the girls and I. Dakota did have softball pitching practice, so we went in for that. Stopped and had ice cream afterwards and then came home and Ed cooked out on his new gas grill the girls and I got him for father's day.

It was a nice weekend!!

Dakota and Hayden

Dakota and her boyfriend, Hayden. Today marks their one month anniversary of "dating". He is such a gentleman, he's always opening the doors for her, calling her and he treats her like a queen! They are so happy and so cute together!!

Jordan's Cheer Camp

Jordan attended a 3 day NCA cheerleading camp in Hooker on June 16th, 17th, and 18th. Her and her fellow cheerleaders had a lot of fun but worked really hard. It was 3 full days of cheering, dancing and tumbling. Add running 2 miles of cross country to that before she went to camp and playing two softball games those days - she was a pretty tired young lady!! But she did great and I'm so proud of her!! Can't wait to go watch her cheer this Fall!!

Graduation 2010

The girls went to high school graduation this year. They both knew and liked several of the kids graduating but one of Jordan's really good friends, Amber, was graduating this year, so they went to watch her. Just had to show off Jordan's pretty pink dress!! Dakota was not thrilled with wearing a skirt and a pink shirt, but I think she looked very nice!!

BUSY Month!!

Well, today kicks off the start of our busy busy month of June!! We were up and in town by 6:30 this morning. Girls ran 2 miles in cross country, then went to speed/weight training for an hour. Then they were on the bus and headed to Guymon for basketball camp! Same thing again tomorrow, but add in softball practice as soon as they get home from basketball camp! lol Thursday it will be the same thing, but they have softball game that night!

This weekend is the Guymon car show on Saturday. Friday night is the cookout and cruise, the girls are going to watch James play baseball Friday night.

Next week it should just be cross country, speed/weight training, open gym and softball. But the week after that we'll have all the above and Jordan will also have cheerleading camp! Then we get a week of just the basic stuff again.

Last week of June we have another basketball camp on top of all the other stuff! lol (Told you it was a busy month)

Girls softball team is doing okay this summer. Dakota's pitching has been really good. Of course she still has some wild pitches, and will for quite some time I'm sure. But overall, she's doing really good. She plans on continuing her practices with her pitching coach and by this time next year she should have not only the speed, but the control down a little better as well!! Jordan has been playing catcher in practice some and I'm guessing probably will in the game Thursday too. Dakota's pitching coach wants to spend one afternoon working with Jordan on that too, so that will be really nice. I think if we could get this whole pitcher/catcher team thing going with the girls, by the time they play high school softball - they will be an awesome team!!

I'll try and get some pics of games soon and update more as the month moves along!!

Awesome car!!!

Ed and I test drove this '09 vette Saturday. Sweet car!!!! Didn't quite have everything I want on it though, it lacked navigation and xm radio. Other than that it had everything!! But we're gonna keep doing some looking around. I am really getting excited about looking for ME a vette now!! :o)

First Dance!!

Girls went to their first dance over Memorial Day weekend!! They had so much fun!! Jordan went with her boyfriend, James and Dakota went with her boyfriend, Hayden. These are both a couple of really great boys. They treat the girls like queens!! They are very nice, well mannered young men! They all went out to eat lunch at the Soda Fountain on Saturday afternoon. Then Jordan, James and Dakota went to the pool and hung out all day. Then the four of them went to the dance that night. James is going to be a Senior this year and Hayden will be a Sophomore (yeah, I know - lot of age difference, but no one have a cow here!). The girls are allowed to "date" these boys with mine and Ed's approval. However, their "dating" consists of things like lunch at the Soda Fountain, swimming, the boys hanging out with us out here, school functions, such as dances, ballgames, ect....they can even go to the movies with these boys if Ed and I take them or they boys' parents take them. They are not allowed in the car with the boys or to go on a "private" date. The girls explained the rules to the boys and they both totally agreed with our rules and respected us and the girls for them! I told the girls that I really didn't blame them for wanting to date the "older" guys, because the guys their age are not only VERY inmature, but they are all so full of themselves and they don't really think of anyone else. James and Hayden are both so sweet and respectful of the girls. It's nice for them to finally have someone that treats them like they should be treated!! The four of them also went to church together on Sunday. The boys both go to the same church (Methodist) and they invited the girls to go to Sunday school and church service with them and their moms. The girls went and really enjoyed it. They're all looking forward to spending some more time together soon. James even went over to Guymon today to watch Jordan's basketball camp games. The boys might get to go to Laverne with us for the 4th (James' mom already said yes) if we end up going.
