Bryce got his own house!!!
Well, Bryce officially has his own place now! He's renting a two bedroom house in Shattuck. He was supposed to share this house with a buddy, but that fell through, so he's just got it on his own! He's pretty excited. It's got a backyard and he's already got a puppy!! He's really liking his job with Terra Renewal and of course he loves being a volunteer fireman! I'm gonna gather him up some things soon and take to him or give to him when he comes out for Christmas. Bryce sounds really happy and I'm so happy for him!!!
First basketball game!!!
The girls kicked butt!!! Whoo Hoo!!! They beat Yarbrough 16 t0 12!! Dakota scored 11 of those 16 points!! Both girls played excellent. Hope this is a good sign of more wins this year for them!!

It's December!!!!
Wow, I can't believe it's already December 1st!! Christmas is just right around the corner!!! I pretty much have all my Christmas shopping done!! Just a few stocking stuffers left to buy. I'm relieved to be done, I put it off for quite a while this year. I'm usually all done by Sept. or so!
Updates on the family:
Ed - staying busy with Nabors. He has been doing a little hunting, but not much. Has a big pheasant hunt planned for the weekend of the 18th, 19th and 20th. All the guys from Simon's (the place he used to work) are coming out and will be doing a guided hunt on the 19th and 20th - which they included Ed in. They told him he might not be an employee anymore, but he was still family!! :o) The 18th they are all coming to our house to shoot trap all day. Not sure who all will be staying with us - most will be staying in the hotel in Guymon, but I know Rick will stay with us and maybe Steve. Ed is looking forward to it!!
Bryce - loving his job with Terra!! He's staying busy. Just found out that he finally found a house to rent in Shattuck. He will be sharing this two bedroom house with a friend that he works with. He was pretty excited when I talked to him this morning. It will be nice for him to finally have a real place to stay and be able to unpack all his boxes that are in storage!!
Dakota and Jordan - they have their first basketball game this coming Wednesday. They are excited. They had a great Thanksgiving, as Jett (one of their best friends, who moved to Enid last summer) was back for a visit and they all got to go to the show and then Jett spent the night with the girls. They were thrilled to see her again. They are getting excited for Christmas. They both got parts in the Christmas play this year, so they have been busy studying for those. They went deer hunting but neither of them got one this year. They were a little disappointed, but not too bad!
Me - well, I'm staying busy with the normal household stuff and running the girls all over for basketball, gymnastics, ect.... Been to a couple craft shows with my best friend and have another one to go to this coming Saturday. I'm finally getting excited for Christmas. Got all my decorating done last Friday, and all my gifts are wrapped and under the tree!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful December!!!!

Quite a scare!!
Yesterday Ed calls me around 11:00 and tells me that he heard there had been an explosion at the Duke plant at Straight. And that the girls' school had to be evacuated. I ran outside to look that direction and see if I could see any smoke or anything and about the time I came back inside the girls' teacher was calling the house. There had been a fire and small explosion at the plant. The school had been evacuated. They were a few miles from the school at the designated place for emergencies. Everyone was okay!! But school was cancelled for the rest of the day. I went over and picked up the girls and brought them home.
Luckily, no one at the school or the plant was injured. And even though I knew the girls were okay, I was scared to death driving over to pick them up. Ed was called to send one of his water trucks to the fire - just in case they needed it, but luckily, the fire was contained and allowed to burn itself out and the truck Ed sent out was not needed.
The girls were a little disappointed that it ruined their day at school - it was Young Reader's Day and all the students and teachers wore their pajamas to school. They had all be laying around on blankets and bean bags reading and having popcorn and hot chocolate when they had to evacuate. I'm sure the local fire fighters and emergency people got a good chuckle out of all the kids and teachers running out of the school in their pajamas!! lol

November already!
Where does the time go? lol
This is a fairly busy month. The girls have basketball practice going on. Jordan has gymnastics on Monday nights. They both have Awana on Wednesday nights. They are also practicing for Quiz Bowl - which will be on the 18th. I have been asked to come and be a score keeper for that day.
Last weekend (1st) I went to the pumpkin patch craft show with my best friend. It is usually a wonderful craft show but this year it was awful. They had a few decent booths, but it was so much smaller than it usually is. It was probably half the normal size, or maybe even smaller than that. It only took us 30 min. to walk through it. That same Saturday Ed went to KS with some friends to go pheasant hunting.
That pretty much catches everyone up for now I think. Won't be long until Thanksgiving!! Hope everyone has a wonderful November!!

I can't believe it's October already!!
Things here are going good. The girls have open house at school tonight, so we'll be going to that. My little Buddy is doing better - his wound still looks pretty bad, but it will for a while. We are continuing to flush it out a few times a day and keep it all clean and antiseptic spray on it. He's just such a little trooper, he's so good while we have to flush it out! Not much else to report on today, the girls will be getting to go to KS to stay with my Mom over Fall break, they are so excited. I'll be meeting her in Laverne on the 14th and they will leave there with her on the 15th to go to KS. They'll be up there Wednesday - Sunday. I'll meet her in Kingman, KS on Sunday morning to pick them up. She's got shopping and all sorts of fun things planned for them! They are so excited.
